ABOUT

THAT LITTLE SPARK
When I was wee lad, my standout roles include a Robot and one of the three calling birds in the 12 Days of Christmas. Fortunately, there are no photos of me in orange tights.
THEATRE FOR AMUSEMENT
Theme park entertainment provided an interesting high school job and
my first working gig in the theatre. I worked as Stage Manager for live musical shows and learned lighting from professional theatre designers. On stage I played the adorable Bogey the Orangutan in the Shirt Tales Show.
SERIOUS PLAYS
Theatre was my focus in my undergrad studies at LaGrange College where I earned a dual degree in Speech Communications & Theatre and Computer Science. During my time at LaGrange, I was able to explore lighting design, stage management as well as several on stage acting roles including Happy from Death of a Salesman.
ATTACK THE ARTS
A small cohort of my friends decided we wanted to make our own mark on the local theatre scene in Atlanta. The company Art Attack was born. We produced three seasons of new contemporary plays with some smart takes on classics. As Managing Director, I was able to explore Directing and Design along with operational responsibilities for the company.

THEATRE DAD
I stepped back onto the boards as a parent volunteer for my son's high school productions. I quickly found myself helping in many technical areas, designing and building shows. I was asked to lead theatre workshops with the students during the technical director's absence. I found a passion for coaching young artists in theatre arts.
ARTS TEAM
In pursuit of my new found desire to teach, I started as a substitute, started teaching Drama part-time, and completed my teaching certification. I am lucky to work as a member of a wonderful arts team at an arts magnet school in Atlanta.
FUTURE THEATRE ARTISTS
I continue to cultivate the next generation of theatre by teaching subjects such as Advanced Drama, Stage Management, Theatre Design, Technical Theatre and Stagecraft.
NEXT STEPS IN MY THEATRE EDUCATION
I am currently working to complete my MFA in Theatre with a concentration in Directing and Design. I look forward to graduating in December of 2024.
